Branch lead of UH Groupings project

  • Worked on the development of a web application used by faculty to organize groupings of students and other faculty members built using Angular.js, Java, Spring Boot, and Agile methodology Kanban
  • Implemented and improved UI/UX features with a strong focus on user experience using Bootstrap and SCSS
  • Refactored over 2000 lines of UI and RESTful API functions to improve overall efficiency and code readability
  • Significantly increased unit/integration test coverage of UI using Jasmine tests and API using JUnit tests
  • Developed and wrote documentation for a side-project to aid current and new team members in transition into a more modern tech stack built in React.js, Next.js, TypeScript, and Jest testing framework
  • Branch-Lead role: Conduct code reviews, communicate with teammates and merge pull requests in a timely manner to ensure the project upkeeps code quality and meets production deployment deadlines
  • Mentor role: Train, guide, help and give tips to new team members
